Throop’s Parent-Teacher Organization (PTO) was created to support students and their education. Throop’s PTO helps pay for student field trips and costs associated with projects that help students learn.
This year, PTO will have its Fall Book Harvest Sept. 23 at the Paoli Public Library. PTO’s biggest fund raiser of the year, Read-Write-Walk-A-Thon, will be Oct. 3. This event helps the community support educational projects at Throop Elementary. PTO will finish 2014 a Winter Holiday Festival Dec. 11.
PTO will host a Family Library Night “Fall In Love with Reading” at the Paoli Public Library Feb. 5. PTO’s last planned project will be Bingo for Books April 14.
How can you help? Throop’s PTO cannot function without volunteers. Attend a meeting and volunteer to help with a project. Volunteering is a great way to become involved with your child’s school. Bring a friend!
