Enrollment Schedule for all Students

Tuesday July 21st – 3:30pm to 7:30pm in Throop Elementary Cafe

Wednesday July 22nd – 3:30pm to 7:30pm in Throop Elementary Cafe

(New kindergarten students must be five (5) years old on or before August 1, 2015 to be eligible)

(Social Security Numbers are requested for all students)

Art and Technology Fees

Grades K-1:  $5.00            Grades 2-6: $7.50  

Lunch and Breakfast Prices

Regular Prices:  Breakfast – $1.50 per day/$7.50 per week;  Lunch $2.25 per day/$11.25 per week

Reduced Prices:  Breakfast – $0.30 per day/$1.50 per week;  Lunch $0.40 per day/$2.00 per week

Extra Milk:  $0.40 per carton

(Please pay lunch fees separately from other fees – make check payable to Throop Elementary School)

Tuesday August 4th:  Meet and Greet – 5:00pm to 6:30pm

Students are encouraged to bring personal school supplies and materials to their new classroom.

First Student Day will be Wednesday, August 5, 2015

Throop Chromebook Orientation July 30

Dear Parents of Students in Grades 3, 4, 5, and 6,

As part of our Paoli School Corporation’s commitment to being “Future Ready” with technology, Throop students in Grades 3,4,5, and 6 are preparing to have their own school issued electronic device to be used in all aspects of learning at home and at school.  This 1 to 1 initiative will have a huge impact on the continued growth and learning of our students.

Grade 3,4,5, and 6 students will be issued a Chromebook during a 1:1 Orientation Meeting that will take place at the Throop Elementary Gym on July 30, 2015.  You have a choice of attending the 5:00pm or the 7:00pm meeting.  Please be mindful that in order for each student to receive their Chromebook, the student and a parent must attend one of the meetings.

At this meeting, the faculty will discuss details of our 1:1 program, outline the 1:1 handbook, and issue Chromebooks to all students in attendance.  Chromebook insurance guidelines will be explained and parents should be prepared to sign up for this insurance for a cost of $38.00 for the 2015-16 school year.
